Our Commitment Against Misinformation
At News Inc India, especially for Chhattisgarh and political news, we are committed to fighting fake news and misinformation that spreads via WhatsApp, Facebook and YouTube. Misinformation can cause social disharmony, and we take it seriously.
Our Fact-Checking Process (4 Steps)
• Step 1 – Claim Monitoring: Our team monitors viral claims on social media platforms in Chhattisgarh region.
• Step 2 – Evidence Collection: We collect primary evidence – official documents, video, direct quotes from officials, police, or eyewitnesses.
• Step 3 – Verification: We cross-verify with at least two independent trusted sources and use Social Monster’s social listening and research tools to trace origin of viral content.
• Step 4 – Rating & Publishing: We publish fact-check article with clear rating – True, False, Misleading, Half-True, No Evidence – along with sources and links.
Correction of Fact-Check
If our fact-check itself is found incorrect, we will correct it transparently with a correction note as per our Correction Policy.
How to Submit a Fact-Check Request
If you see any viral news or post and want us to fact-check, email us at factcheck@newsinc.in with screenshot, link of viral post, and where you saw it. You can also WhatsApp us at editorial number. We will investigate within 24 hours.
CORRECTION POLICY
Our Philosophy
At News Inc India, we believe that to err is human, but to correct transparently is journalism. We are accountable to our readers.
Types of Corrections
• Minor Errors: Spelling mistakes, grammar, small typo – will be corrected silently without note.
• Factual Errors: Wrong name, designation, figure, date, location, political statement – will be corrected within 2 hours of being reported/noticed.
• Major Errors: If wrong information has changed meaning of news, we will publish correction note at bottom of article: ‘Correction: An earlier version of this article stated X. It has been corrected to Y. Updated on [Date Time IST]’.
• Serious Errors: If error has caused significant impact, we will publish a separate Clarification article and also post update on our social media.
• Retraction: In rare case where story is completely false or fabricated, we will retract the story with a note explaining reason for retraction.
How to Report an Error
Readers can report any error via email at corrections@newsinc.in or grievance@newsinc.in with URL of article, screenshot, and correct information with source. We will acknowledge within 24 hours.

We maintain internal log of all corrections for accountability and learning of our team led by Ranjan Jha.
